Duties:

A Turf Equipment Mechanic performs specialized journey-level mechanical maintenance and repair of all maintenance equipment, including but not limited to:  diesel-powered tractors, gasoline-powered equipment, a variety of small engines, and electric powered equipment (I.e., greens mowers, golf carts).  The variety of equipment maintained (I.e., loader/backhoe, outfront rotary, lowering devices, dirt hauling trailers, etc.) requires knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and hydraulic engines, as well as familiarity with automatic transmissions, reel grinding, and back lapping. 

Salary:

$40,393.60 - $54,371.20 Annually

Minimum Qualifications Required.  Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED.  Considerable (3 - 5 years) experience as a journey-level mechanic, including some experience in the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, and set up and sharpening of reels and bedknives.

Special Requirement.  Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License by hire or promotion date.


Preferred/Desirable Qualification.  Specialized training in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of golf course maintenance equipment.
