GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT AT PLAYA GRANDE
Playa Grande is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent with strong leadership skills and passion for the game of golf and providing excellent golfing conditions on a daily basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Golf Course Superintendent (GCS) reports directly to the General Manager at Playa Grande. The GCS is expected to provide quality leadership and will
lead and manage his/her department to ensure superb golfing conditions: firm, fast, and green. The GCS is responsible for all day-to-day operations of Playa Grande.
Continuing education and staying at the forefront of research and technology are necessary for success. In addition, the GCS will provide innovative and relevant
leadership and in perpetuating and fostering an educational culture of developing and producing future turf professionals. The GCS must have a natural style of
“sincere engagement” with guests and staff along with a love of the game of golf and a relentless attention to detail.
AREAS OF FOCUS
· Provide excellent golfing conditions: Firm, Fast, and Green
· Develop standard operating and course conditioning procedures
· Team hiring, training, and evaluations
· Act as mentor and leader to staff
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be a bilingual (English/Spanish) Superintendent with a minimum of five years’ experience at a top tier golf club or resort.
- Proven experience providing exceptional golfing conditions on a daily basis
- Experience providing smooth, fast greens
- Successful experience with warm season grasses
- Proactive, high energy leader and team builder
· Strong observational skills
- Strong budget management and forecasting skills
- Proven planning skills
- Demonstrated experience developing future turf professionals
- Excellent communication skills with both guests and team members
- Spanish language skills are a plus
· Highly organized and detail oriented
· Creative and stays current with advances in turf technology, irrigation management, and equipment
· Concise and direct
· Consistent career track record
· Passion for the job
· High Golf IQ
EDUCATIONAL AND CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in turf management or related field of study is required. Certification is preferred.

Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The club, along with the typical GCSAA benefits, offers an
