Duties: | This is a full time position supporting a 365-day/year operation. Under the direction of the Superintendent, this position assists in the maintenance, operation and management of golf course(s) in the association’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding resident/guest service and financial profitability. Examples of Position Responsibilities: · Instruct equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment; · Supervise pesticide applications and/or operate and calibrate pesticide application equipment; · Supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of pumps, and the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems; · Oversee scheduling and routing of personnel and equipment to accomplish the work; · Inspect the golf courses and related areas to evaluate how well management standards are being achieved and to effect changes in management programs. Qualifications: · Agronomy and turf grass management practices; · Golf facility construction principles, practices and methods; · Rules and strategies of the game of golf; · Strong attention to detail, passion for excellence and a great attitude. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Carry objects up to 50 pounds. Environmental Factors: medium noise levels, work outdoors where weather conditions prevail and temperatures and lighting vary; constant risk of danger due to machinery operation, small tools and golf ball impact. |
Salary: | $37,000 – $50,000 Depending On Experience |

Requirements: | High School diploma or equivalent, 5+ years of experience in a golf operations lead capacity, and 5+ years of experience in golf course maintenance; or a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above. Must possess, and maintain, a valid Arizona driver’s license. Preferred: College course work in agriculture, business management, recreation, or related field; ability to communicate in Spanish and current state certification, or licensed, as a pesticide applicator. |
