ARMY NAVY COUNTRY CLUB

Gracing over 500 acres of rolling, wooded, landscape at sites in both Arlington and Fairfax, Virginia, the Army Navy Country Club challenges our Members and guests with 54 championship golf holes, award-winning racquet facility with 30 tennis courts and 8 newly constructed pickleball courts, 6 swimming pools, a fitness center, and golf and tennis Pro Shops. The 27-hole Fairfax property sits on 235 acres of the Club’s 500 acres. Fairfax’s original Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed 18-holes opened in 1940.

During his presidency, President William J. Clinton often retreated to the golf courses at Army Navy Country Club to escape the pressures of his office. President Dwight D. Eisenhower was known to refer to a particularly troublesome double dogleg par-5 on the Arlington course as his own private hell. Like those experiences of Presidents past, today’s Members experience the challenge, versatility, and variety of 54 holes of championship golf. The combined 500-plus acres in Arlington and Fairfax have gone through numerous improvement projects, most recently, this year, in a committed effort to keep its course infrastructure optimized for today’s modern golf game. From Arlington’s rugged “Golden Age” appeal to the gentler curves of the “Modern Era” course design at Fairfax, the Club’s courses have something for everyone.

Members have included Major General John A. Lejeune, USMC; Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, USN; General Omar Bradley, USA; and Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard M. Nixon, William J. Clinton and Barak Obama.
