Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Facility:

Western Skies Golf Club.  Located in Gilbert, AZ.  18 Hole Championship Golf Course complete with professional practice facility, including driving range, chipping, and putting greens.  Beautiful course boasting a wide variety of different species of trees and shrubs.  Completely renovated irrigation system, including pump station, Toro 2 wire control and Lynx software.  Newly renovated bunkers.  The entire property is well-appointed with a solid infrastructure; with proper management and dedication it will become a world class golf destination.  Successful candidate will earn the opportunity to become a Superintendent within 1-3 years. 

 

Requirements:

·        Working knowledge of golf course facilities management. 

·        Must have a passion for golf and creating the most efficient golf facilities management program possible. 

·        Seeking a thought partner to collaborate with and together innovate new creative ways to improve upon industry methods and standards.

 

Salary:

Depends on experience.

Duties:

·        Personnel management

·        Cultural control and fertility management

·        Irrigation management

·        Bunker management

·        Implement IPM program

·        Equipment operation and management

·        Overseeding and other project management

·        Maintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance facility. 

·        Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals and fertilizers, sand and landscape materials, irrigation and equipment supplies and inventories.
