| Anthem Golf & Country Club Assistant Superintendent Anthem Golf & Country Club is in search of an assistant superintendent to work with the Director of Agronomy in managing the Persimmon Golf Course. Anthem is a private country club with 36 holes, two clubhouses complete with fitness, dining, pool and tennis, two driving ranges and practice facilities and two maintenance shops. Anthem is a proud member of the ClubCorp family and the candidate will be a candidate for advancement within ClubCorp in the future. ClubCorp is the largest private club owner/operator in the world. General Responsibilities: - Assist Superintendent in training and managing co-workers in Golf Course Maintenance department. - Assist Superintendent in developing and implementation of agronomic programs and maintenance procedures. Specific Responsibilities: - Schedule all co-workers in department. - Direct, supervise, and implement daily maintenance procedures. - Supervise and or operates irrigation system. - Calibrate and apply pesticides and fertilizer. - Diagnose basic agronomic problems. - Communicate high quality standards to co-workers with a sense of urgency. - Supports the Superintendent and General Manager in golf course initiatives. - Communicate company policies and procedures in positive way. - Assist in assuring co-worker satisfaction in department. - Supervise the mechanics on turf equipment maintenance and repair. Required Skills and Abilities: - Must have a certified pesticide applicator's license within 6 months of employment. - Good communication skills; written and oral. - Dedicated to the development of self and co-workers. - Must have a good sense of detail. - Must have good computer skills. - Have the work ethic that will allow upward mobility within the company. Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in agronomy or related field. ( Preferred) - 2 + years of experience as a Supervisor in the field. - Bi-lingual helpful.
