CACTUS & PINE, GCSA EMPLOYMENT REFERRAL SERVICE Date: July 26 th , 2018 Position: Assistant Sports Turf and Field Manager Course Name: Sloan Park (Chicago Cubs Spring Training Complex) Duties: ·         Ability to perform all aspects of field maintenance including but, not limited to, mowing, fertilizing, and all associated baseball field and landscape maintenance of the Cubs spring training complex. ·         Coordinate with baseball operations to provide daily support as needed and ensure staff and material resources are allocated appropriately. ·         Procure grounds supplies to support field maintenance needs in accordance to plan. ·         Report to the Director any observed/perceived issues with irrigation system deficiencies and/or irrigation programming.  Perform and/or lead crew members with all troubleshooting and repair of the irrigation system within the Cubs spring training complex. ·         Operate and maintain all facility and grounds equipment in a safe manner.
