Duties:

The Scottsdale Plaza Resort is now hiring an Irrigation Technician.

 

Description: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all irrigation systems on our 40 acre property. Duties include daily inspection of turf and plant/flower irrigation, inspecting the system itself, check and repair turf areas and planted areas with drip emitters, repair broken lines, repair flower beds and install new emitters. Maintain irrigation parts and storage areas. Assist landscape crew as needed. Schedule a checklist of each area.

Requirements:

Minimum of one year experiences and irrigation technician. Must have knowledge of various irrigation systems and ability to maintain and repair those systems. Ability to evaluate turf, plants and flowers for proper irrigation.

 

Important Personal Characteristics: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Must work well with minimal supervision.

 

Physical Requirements: Able to lift, carry, push and pull 50+ lbs, high exposure to extreme degrees of heat, dust, dirt and noise. Able to withstand long periods of pushing, kneeling and bending. Involves some digging as needed.
