Course Name:

Grand Canyon University Golf Course

Duties:

To assist the Golf Course Superintendent in all facets of golf course maintenance.  Assist in planning, scheduling, record keeping, crew supervision, training, coaching, irrigation scheduling and monitoring, pump station maintenance and operation, fertilizer and chemical calibration and application.

Salary:

$40,000 - $45,000 Depending on Experience.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 year turf science related degree.  Ideally 2-4 years experience in golf industry in supervisory role.  Motivated, self starter with strong work ethic.  Understanding of irrigation requirements, drainage, turf fertilizers and chemicals and their use. Good overseeding experience, promote clean and safe workplace.  Knowledge of the game of golf and ability to play a bonus!

GCU have just spent $11 million completely renovating the old Maryvale Golf Course.  All new irrigation, drainage, tees, fairways, bunkers and greens will see it become one of the premier public facilities in the country as well as play host to the Men's and Women's golf teams for GCU.
