Duties:

·         Assists in planning, scheduling, supervising and labor associated with maintenance practices

·         Performs chemical/fertilizer applications; calibrates application equipment; maintains application records and inventory

·         Assists in operation and maintenance of the pumps and irrigation/drainage systems

·         Assists in personnel management and evaluation, employee safety and personnel discipline

·         Trains employees on procedures and processes

·         Participates in daily monitoring of all playing surfaces

·         Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Salary:

$45,000.00+ annually ~ Depending On Experience

Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum Two (2) year turf grass management certificate from an accredited college or university or a minimum Two (2) years of assistant golf course superintendent experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain within Sixty (60) days a Certified Applicators license through the AZ.
  • Department of Agriculture
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Working knowledge of: maintenance of golf course tees, fairways and greens; seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf; characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditioners; herbicides and pest control methods and materials; drainage control methods; and irrigation systems, including wells, pumps and automatic controls
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Strong leader, work ethic and passion for golf
  • Bi-lingual a plus
