Duties: | The Head Golf Professional will direct and administer all golf operations and assist in coordinating all golf related policies and procedures as defined by the General Manager and ownership. The Head Golf Professional will be responsible for coordinating details of all golf events with the Event Coordinator and Chef. The Head Golf Professional reports directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities include, and are not limited to: Description · Planning, promoting and directing all golf functions and management responsibilities on a daily basis · Creating and maintaining annual budget for all golf operations · Managing rates and rounds to ensure Starfire maintains appropriate market share · Hiring, training and supervising all golf shop staff and outside service staff · Maintaining an appealing and efficient golf shop, maximizing net profit per SF · Managing of inventory, both in the golf shop and outside service equipment · Supervising of the maintenance of golf cart fleet and mechanic · Continually promoting and growing tournament and league revenue · Working closely with the superintendent and general manager to ensure course conditions meet expectations · Preparing of golf shop, outside service and ranger schedules · Working golf shop shifts to maintain relationships with regular customers and staff and ensure budgetary labor goals are met · Performing other duties as assigned Requirements · 10 years-experience in the golf industry · 3 + years of experience in management, a four-year college degree preferred · PGA or other golf certified designation preferred · Experience in golf shop operations, retail merchandising, tournament operations · Must have a passion for Customer Service · Excel in a team oriented environment · Detail oriented, organized, efficient and able to connect with people quickly and easily · Spanish speaking an asset |
Salary: | $45,000.00 + (Based on experience) |
