Duties:

  • Inspects, diagnose, and supervises the repairs of all golf course maintenance equipment and tools
  • Oversees and prioritizes the work of the Assistant Mechanic
  • Responsible for a comprehensive maintenance program with budget accountability
  • Prioritizes equipment repair and preventative maintenance
  • Instructs and/or trains golf course maintenance staff regarding preventative maintenance, safe operation, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and clean shop area and yard
  • Provides support and help to other departments and residents as needed

Salary:

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Five (5) years-experience as a golf course equipment technician
  • Knowledge of gasoline/diesel engines and mowing equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and facilitate repairs
  • Understanding of new technology in the golf course industry
  • Ability to effectively communicate and instruct
  • Possession of a driver’s license in good standing with the State of Arizona
  • Must be able to be covered under the Association's auto policy
