Duties:

Under supervision, responsible for the care and maintenance of areas of the golf course; does semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work.

 

1.                 Operates powered mowing and maintenance equipment on and around greens, aprons, traps, tees, trees, fence lines, etc.

2.                 Irrigate greens, tees and other areas.

3.                 Repairs ball marks on greens.

4.                 Changes cups, tee markers, tee towels; empties trash, maintains ballwashers, etc.

5.                 Repairs divots and re-seeds tees and other areas.

6.                 Grades and prepares soil and lays sod, plants trees, seeds turf, etc.

7.                 Rakes and maintains sand traps.

8.                 Assists in the construction of new greens, tees, fairways and other landscaping.

9.                 Operates safely and maintains properly light utility vehicles and powered equipment.

10.            Cultivates and maintains trees, shrubs and flowers.

11.            May act as lead person on special projects.

12.            Reports problems to supervisor

13.            Does janitorial work in maintenance shop and other course buildings.

14.            Maintains traffic control devices – barriers, ropes, etc.

15.            Applies fertilizers and pesticides effectively and safely.

16.            Does other related work as required.

17.            Understands the game of golf.

 

Salary:

Full-time hourly position. Competitive wages based on experience.
