Essential Duties: | *Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Places orders for parts/supplies as needed for equipment or service and tracks expenses and inventories for budget purposes. *Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defect in many types of golf maintenance equipment. *Performs mower grinding/sharpening, general overhaul of motors and reels, installs and adjusts braking systems *Manages expenses in the maintenance of equipment fleet relating to parts purchases, inventory levels, service work, fuel inventories and related items *Ensures accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs made, parts ordered are kept *Maintains and up-to-date working knowledge of light and heavy equipment and maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus. Maintains skills in the use of wide variety of equipment repair tools and in the making of various types of mechanical repairs *Knowledge of the theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems and mowing equipment maintenance such as grinding, sharpening and adjustment *Diagnoses mechanical troubles and schedules appropriate preventative maintenance work *Organizes and maintains a clean and safe maintenance area *Assists in effective orientation and training are given to new associates. Assists in developing ongoing training programs *Regular and reliable attendance *Performs other duties as required |
Salary: | *Competitive with industry standards for the position. ***Full-Time, year-round salaried associate position starting at base salary $50,000 plus, NEGOTIABLE and dependent on experience. *Full-time, year-round hourly associate position plus overtime is a negotiable option, dependent on experience |

Requirements: | *Valid Driver’s License *Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience necessary but not required **Golf maintenance specific experience required, minimum 3+ years’ experience as head mechanic and/or equipment manager. *Overseed experience preferred but not required. *Experience managing some personnel preferred but not required. **Some weekends and holidays required as needed, to be negotiated. *Experience with Toro and Kubota equipment operation as well as ability to manage a mostly leased equipment fleet with Toro/Simpson Norton, the local distributor, located close-by *Experience with golf cart maintenance and general facility maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics preferable but not required |
