Duties: | · Diagnose, repair, and maintain various gas, diesel and electric golf course maintenance equipment. · Promote proper operation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment to operators. · Along with the Golf Course Superintendent, forecast repairs, establish maintenance budgets, annual asset management and capital equipment needs. · Maintain a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, repair parts, and supplies. · Keep records for all aspects of equipment maintenance. · Perform routine equipment inspections while on the course · Oversee shop area maintenance and safety by promoting safety, cleanliness, organization and details · Perform other duties outside of equipment maintenance when assigned by Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent · Perform reel and rotary blade sharpening, grinding, and height maintenance. · Maintain and promote a safe workplace inside and outside the maintenance facility. · Willingness to work over 40 hours per week including nights, weekends and holidays as required based on operational and seasonal needs. |
Salary: | Commensurate with Experience, Full-Time Hourly position with overtime |

Requirements: | · Must be a team player and excited to contribute in a private golf club setting · Working knowledge of reel grinding, grinding equipment, and bench set-up · Practical experience with care and operation of small gas and diesel engines · Ability to move heavy objects and lift up to 30 lbs. Position may require long periods of physical endurance · Ability to diagnose and determine proper repairs on equipment · Ability to communicate effectively and keep maintenance records · Understanding of how proper working performance of equipment impacts playing conditions on the course and the operational budget of the department · Respectful communication and working relationships with staff, managers, and the membership · Minimum One (1) – Three (3) years previous experience at a golf facility as an Equipment Manager/Assistant · Equipment Manager · Able to work under pressure and adjust to current maintenance needs |
