| Duties: | This is a unique and wonderful opportunity for an agronomy leader to join a renowned private club with a world-class golf course. The Director of Agronomy reports to the General Manager and will direct all functions related to the maintenance of the golf course, practice areas, beaches, roadways and building grounds and landscaping. The Director of Agronomy will lead the Agronomy Team to ensure outstanding playing conditions throughout the year. This will be done by being a nurturing leader who fosters an open and transparent communication with the Agronomy Team, Members, and Management Team at The Mid Ocean Club. |

| Requirements: | The ideal candidate will have at least five years as a Superintendent in a high performing and challenging environment. He/she will have a clear understanding of warm season grass management and fertility on an island or coastal environment with a professional career of achievement and employment stability. The next Director of Agronomy will have a track record of private club/resort leadership with identifying, attracting, and maintaining a high-quality agronomy team. It is important that the candidate is capable to lead, manage, train, and mentor staff while also being an ambitious individual who is patient and accountable. The chosen candidate will be an excellent delegator and motivator with the ability to work effectively with all departments. He/she should be open, positive, and have an accessible style but able to act decisively. It is vital that the next Director of Agronomy have strong organizational skills, be an excellent and proactive communicator, have visible work ethic and a reasonable sense of urgency. The Director of Agronomy will have a passion for course conditioning, the tradition of golf and Bermudian island living. The selected candidate will be educated in Agronomy or related subject matter from a four-year institution. |
