Position:	1st Assistant Golf Professional
Facility:	Sun City Grand Community Association Management
Duties:	• Supervise and manage golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional; • Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to all patrons;  • Control and manage play; tee sheets, ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter; • Manage the total operation of the practice facility;  • Provide golf instruction and clinics that is consistent with instructional methods, policies and procedures; • Supervise, schedule and train golf shop personnel in customer service, golf processes and procedures and the Sun City Grand culture as directed by the Head Golf Professional; • Assist in the purchasing, receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise; • Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services; • Manage handicap program; • Assist in planning and budgeting for golf operations;  • Assist in managing tournaments and outings; • Work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement corrective/disciplinary action; document as necessary; • Maintain and monitor work procedure and processes; • Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance; • Keep current with events and activities occurring at Sun City Grand; and • Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary:	Range is $37,000 - $45,000 annually DOE. Golf lessons are supplemental.

Requirements:	1+ years of experience working in a golf shop with 2 years as an Assistant Golf Professional; completion of Level II Golf Professional Training Program preferred; knowledge of and use of computerized point-of-sale equipment and golf handicap programs; or a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above.  Must possess, and maintain, a valid Arizona driver's license.
