Position:      Grounds Maintenance Worker III

 

Facility:        Town of Gilbert Parks

 

Duties:

 

·       The Grounds Maintenance III performs semi-skilled, specialized and manual labor work associated with the maintenance of grounds, parks, athletic fields and irrigation systems including mowing, weed control and removal, turf maintenance, shrub and tree maintenance.

·       Trains and oversees subordinate staff on landscape, field and irrigation maintenance Assists in the Coordination, scheduling and inspections of contracted landscape maintenance.

·       Incumbents also operates equipment including mowers, chain saws, pruners, chippers, hedge trimmers, blowers, spraying equipment and other general grounds maintenance equipment.

·       They also complete daily work logs and enter items into databases. 

 

 

Salary:           $20.14 - $29.21 Depending On Experience

Requirements:

·       High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

  • Minimum of seven years of previous experience and/or training in grounds maintenance, athletic field maintenance, irrigation system maintenance, equipment operation, and manual labor
  • Valid AZ Class D Driver's License

 

 

Responsible to: Parks Supervisor
