| Position: | Irrigation Specialist/Second Assistant Superintendent |
| Facility: | Golf Club of Estrella, a Troon managed facility in Goodyear, AZ located within the master planned community of Estrella. |
| Duties: | · The Irrigation Specialist/Second Assistant Superintendent, under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system and its components. · Irrigation Specialist/Second Assistant Superintendent works closely with Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term strategies to maintain the golf course daily, weekly, monthly and yearly to include irrigation, fertilization, schedules, etc. · Irrigation Specialist/Second Assistant Superintendent will also poses the ability to perform all golf maintenance duties to include mowing, rolling, etc. · A successful candidate will also have a basic understanding of overseeding and its irrigation requirements. Also performs other duties as required. |
| Salary: | · Full-time hourly position paying $21.00+ per hour Dependent on experience. · Overtime available as necessary. · Weekends and holidays required as necessary. |

| Requirements: | · Two years of golf course maintenance and irrigation experience preferred but not required. Will train the right individual. · Basic understanding of turfgrass science and water needs to maintain turfgrass in the desert southwest. · Working knowledge of basic electricity, hydraulics and pump station related to a golf course irrigation system. · Physical activity is moderate and will require bending, kneeling, and the ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Will require you to walk around the golf course, dig holes and trenches with a shovel. The ability to operate light and medium duty equipment. · Basic computer skills necessary to communicate repair activities and record them. |
