Position:

Irrigation Specialist

Facility:

Sun City Grand Community Association Management

Duties:

·       Water and fertilize tees, greens, and fairways;

·       Inspects various components of the golf course irrigation system and golf course landscape drip system to ensure that they are operating properly;

·       Responsible for operating of individual irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water; spot waters dry areas on greens and tees using a hose;

·       Perform repairs to the irrigation system and irrigation heads as needed;

·       Repair irrigation lines, valves and quick couplers;

·       Operate Toro Lynx Central Control System and familiar with Toro Infinity Irrigation Heads;

·       Recognize existing and potential construction hazards;

·       Install and maintain drainage systems;

·       Complete requests for irrigation and drainage parts and supplies;

·       Operate dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris;

·       May occasionally lead a small labor force for special projects;

·       Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Range is $21.00 ~ $25.00 Depending On Experience

Requirements:

·       High School diploma or equivalent.

·       Minimum 2 years of golf course irrigation experience.

·       Understanding in the maintenance and development of golf courses to include fertilizing, irrigation, use of pesticides/herbicides, mowing and top-dressing techniques.

·       Must possess, and maintain, a valid Arizona driver’s license.
