| Position: | Assistant Golf Course Superintendent |
| Facility: | Orange Tree Golf Resort |
| Duties: | -Assist in daily scheduling, staff training, plant protectant applications and irrigation controls, programming, and repairs. -Daily inspection of the course to ensure it is prepared for play and to prevent or circumvent turf and other issues that may occur. -Document all work schedules, applications, training, and operations of the course. -Schedule with the Director of Agronomy and monitor daily activities of all staff. Assist and provide direction daily. -Assist in and learn all labor, budget preparation and control, purchasing and inventory control measures in all areas. -Communicate maintenance functions to all staff, management and golf staff as needed for smooth operation. -Other duties as they apply. |
| Salary: | $55,000 – $65,000 salary, Depending On Experience |
| Benefits: | Health, Dental, Life Insurance, 401(k), paid PTO after 90 days, some Holidays, Uniforms, meal benefits and golfing privileges. Cactus and Pine dues paid. |
| Requirements: | -Have a two- or four-year degree or certificate in Turf Management or related field, or combination of education and experience. -Minimum of three years golf course maintenance experience. -Must currently have a pesticide license in Arizona or have the ability to prepare, test and acquire licensing within three months of employment to maintain the position. -Enhanced attention to detail in all areas -Maintain a strong work ethic with attention to detail, compassion for staff and playing conditions and aesthetics with a desire to learn, improve and become a golf course superintendent, preferably with Scottsdale Golf Group. -Bilingual a plus. |
