Located in Tucson AZ, our 27 holes of Arnold Palmer Signature Golf have been meticulously restored to championship-level play, offering members and guests an elevated course experience that matches the beauty of its desert setting.
 
As the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, focus will be on assisting the superintendent with management of property grounds to the highest standards along with directing and training staff. The candidate of choice will possess knowledge of agronomy, turf management, leadership and be detail oriented.  
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Direct and train maintenance staff on providing the quality results expected in a safe and efficient manner.
 
  • Agronomy & Maintenance: Oversee the care of turf, bunkers and landscaping for a 27-hole property.
  • Chemical & Fertilizer Application: Within company and legal guidelines operate sprayers and spreaders in a manner that ensures safe accurate application of products.
 
  • Budget & Administration: Fiscal responsibilities entail assisting the superintendent with budget creation, tracking expenses and purchasing.
 
  • Equipment & Safety: Monitor equipment inventory and maintenance. Provide all company required safety training and supplies to staff.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: A 2-to-4-year degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or Plant/Soil Science is preferred. Ability to speak Spanish.
 
  • Experience: Experience in golf course maintenance, with past supervisory or technical roles.
 
  • Licenses: A valid driver's license is required. Ability to obtain a state pesticide applicator license within 3 months of hire.
 
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in various climates and regularly lift up to 50 plus pounds. Be able to stand, walk, and use hands for long periods.

Salary: $60,000+ (commensurate with experience)
