Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the General Manager, manages all aspects of the facility including its activities and the relationships between the facility, its patrons, employees, community, government and industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Develops operating policies and procedures and directing the work of all department managers and supervisors.
· Implements and monitors the budget to endure profitability, monitors the quality of all products and services, and ensures maximum customer satisfaction.
· Secures and protects assets, including financial, facilities and equipment.
· Develops and coordinates the development of long range and annual business plans.
· Develops and implements general policies and procedures and conducts regular scheduling of staff meetings.
· Ensures specific Golf operational policies, programs and procedures coinciding with the Apache Gold Casino Resort’s mission statement.
· Monitors the daily performance of daily operations, functions, and services; assures high standards for customer satisfaction.
· Establishes and ensures proper training, hiring, supervising, personal development and corrective action in accordance with safety regulations and the Apache Gold Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.
· Ensures accurate hourly labor for all employees of the Golf Operation.
· Oversees and approves all weekly golf time sheets/payroll, purchase orders, and invoices.
· Oversees the development of Golf operating procedures and training manuals and practices.
· Develops Golf emergency and safety procedures.
· Maintains active memberships in professional organizations that pertain to the position.
· Attends conferences, workshops information and developments in the field, and meetings to keep abreast of current trends in the industry.
· Coordinates the development of operating and capital budgets; monitors financial statements, reviews income and expenses relative to all Golf departments, implements corrective measures as needed, and reports status on a monthly basis.
· Manages and oversees all accounting, inventories, banking, audit procedures, cash flow, and establishes controls to safeguard funds and assets.
· Makes recommendations for capital improvements, supplies and equipment.
· Assures operational compliance with local, state and federal laws as they pertain to golf operations on tribal lands.
· Maintains knowledge and compliance with all contracts and lease agreement obligations.
· Oversees the care and maintenance of all golf physical assets and facilities.
· Coordinates the clubs marketing and promotional programs to recruit guest to the resort.
· Ensures the highest standards for golf service and programs, golf course, and practice area, food and beverage, sports and recreation, entertainment and other resort functions and services.
· Establishes guidelines and monitors compliance with all purchasing policies and procedures.
· Supervises physical inventories and the display of merchandise. Assists in the development of necessary systems to safeguard inventories.
· Ensures and initiates programs to provide guest with the best possible golfing experience.
· Oversees and works with department heads to schedule events the do not conflict at the resort.
· Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration or a related field and three years of specific experience in the management of golf clubs; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:
· Knowledge of materials, methods, practices and equipment used in playing golf and surrounding activities.
· Knowledge of the principles and practices used in marketing and promoting golf courses.
· Knowledge of occupational hazards, safe working practices, and safety precautions in accordance with applicable state, county, or federal laws and regulations regarding workplace safety.
· Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations, promotions, and marketing in a customer service oriented environment.
· Knowledge of computer utilization in marketing/business operations.
· Ability to read and analyze general business periodicals and professional journals.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
· Ability to conduct presentations to the staff, tribal officials and any other audiences in a professional appearance and manner.
· Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a Golf Course setting. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required. Exposure to common landscaping chemicals may occur.
