Duties: | The Assistant Golf Superintendent assists in the construction and maintenance of the golf course, supervises the operation, maintenance and repair of motorized and mechanical equipment and performs related tasks as required. Daily functions include: Assisting superintendent in planning, scheduling, and supervising the construction and maintenance of all areas of the golf course and support facilities; Supervising repair and maintenance of equipment used on golf course and instructing greens keepers in safe, efficient operation and care of all equipment; and Supervising and participating in the operation and maintenance pumps, irrigation and drainage system. |
Salary: | $35,000-$45,000 Depending On Experience |
Benefits: | Medical, Dental, Basic Life, Voluntary Life, Voluntary STD & LTD first of month following 60 days |
Requirements: | · Working knowledge of the construction, establishment and maintenance practices employed on golf course · Knowledge of planting and culture of turf grasses and planting · Cultivating and pruning ornamental plants, shrubs and trees · Knowledge of proper use of fertilizers, soil conditioners and pest control materials · Knowledge of drainage methods, watering practices and irrigation systems, knowledge of equipment operation, servicing and repair, ability to schedule and supervise work, participating knowledge of the game of golf · Must practice safety at all times |
