CACTUS & PINE, GCSA EMPLOYMENT REFERRAL SERVICE Date: June 5, 2014 Position: Assistant Equipment Mechanic Course Name: Wigwam Golf Club Duties: This position assists the Superintendent of Golf Course Maintenance in providing high quality golf courses and total guest satisfaction through proper maintenance and repair of equipment and tools.   Essential Functions: ·         Repair and maintenance of golf maintenance equipment. ·         Participate in golf maintenance activities utilizing proper technical methods. ·         Seek out and attend continuing education classes/workshops ·         Attend monthly and weekly staff meetings (including all training and safety meetings).   Supportive Functions: ·         In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions: ·         Clean maintenance area and equipment. ·         Maintain repair and inventory logs. ·         Report any conditions or challenges that need attention to the Superintendent of Golf Course Maintenance.   Other Duties: ·         Assimilate into JDM Golf PRIDe4 (Exceed Expectations, Every Guest, Every Time) culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of PRIDe4. ·         Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.   Salary: $11.00 - $12.00 Dependent upon experience Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, paid holidays, after 90 days.  Paid vacation and PTO after one year.  Direct deposit, employee purchase discount program, free golf at company-owned courses. Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ·         Extensive knowledge of the repair and maintenance of golf course equipment utilizing industry standards. ·         Extensive knowledge of the tools supplies, materials and their function in the repair and maintenance of golf course equipment. ·         Knowledge of welding equipment and the safe operation of the equipment as it pertains the golf course maintenance. ·         Ability to recognize, communicate and/or resolve maintenance and/or repair challenges. ·         Ability to safely operate golf course and landscape equipment. ·         Knowledge of golf course maintenance techniques and methods. ·         Knowledge of fertilizers and pesticides, and their application techniques and purpose. ·         Leadership abilities. ·         Ability to work alone with limited supervision, follow instructions and be detail-oriented.   Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to walk long distances on all types of terrain, stand, climb stairs, bend, and kneel for long periods in a harsh outdoor environment.   Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent certificate preferred but not required. Five years of experience in golf course maintenance. Two years of professional welding experience. Valid Arizona Driver's License.
