| •Develops and evaluates maintenance standards, utilizes established work order systems to monitor work assignments, customer service and preventative maintenance programs. •Supervises landscape repairs at Indian School Park and Scottsdale Stadium and prepares maintenance schedules for seasonal tasks and professional baseball timelines. Trains crew in proficient equipment operation and records certifications annually. •Assigns/reviews work for staff daily, answers questions from staff relating to specific landscaping maintenance needs; estimates time requirements for each task; allocates manpower and coordinates maintenance scheduling year round. •Plans and organizes work to be performed weekly; schedules equipment and personnel; orders materials (plants, grass types and tools); determines material types and quantities from qualified vendors. •Monitors 20-25 acres of sand based sports turf at Indian School Park and Scottsdale Stadium. Coordinates and collaborates with Irrigation Control Technician to ensure proper water usage weekly/daily and monthly basis. Ensures compliance annually of ADWR turf report and City's water conservation plans. Maintains complete understanding of large turf facilities and current major league baseball standards. •Maintains good working contacts year round with San Francisco Giants, Scottsdale Charro's, City divisions, and Stadium Coordinator. Provides annual training on effective water management practices for division baseball staff. •Completes monthly field audits; performs weekly irrigation system field assessments. Schedules year round maintenance schedule for sand based sports fields by November of each year. Continues to support use as multi-use venue. •Orders and completes winter rye grass seeding schedule. Schedules aeration/and verticut practices on sports fields. •Annually provides and budgets life cycle cost for protective batter's eye/windscreen/portable screens to meet professional baseball standards. Maintains field geometry of skinned infield, mound/plate areas and bullpens to major league baseball standards. •Adheres to applicable Major League Baseball Rules. •Supervises Scottsdale Stadium and Indian School Park Minor League Complex staff. •Develops and implement an annual agronomy calendar for all Professional Baseball fields. •Generates project specifications, obtain work order quotes, and approve contractual work. •Manages life cycle of equipment, tools, and facility assets |
