Duties: | JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all ground keeping equipment and tools. Maintains the purchasing of parts, recordkeeping and the supervision of equipment technicians. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Maintains and inspects the mowing equipment to identify repair and maintenance needs. Reports issues to Superintendent. 2. Performs maintenance procedures and complete identified repairs necessary for proper operation of the mowing equipment, club cars, small tractors and loaders. 3. Operates small engine equipment, golf carts, small tractors and loaders. 4. Trains operators on the proper use of the equipment in a safe manner. 5. Purchases parts necessary for the maintenance of grounds keeping equipment and golf carts. 6. Maintains the records associated with the maintenance and repair of the equipment. 7. Maintains a clean and safe work area. 8. On occasion, assist with mowing operations. |

Requirements: | The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses. 2. Skill in the use of variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repair. 3. Working knowledge of the theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment. 4. Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions while repairing equipment. 5. Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work. 6. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain records. |
Education and Experience: | 1. Associates Degree in related field 2. 2 years of previous experience as a mechanic or related experience. |
