Duties:

·         The superintendent is responsible for the maintenance of the course greens, roughs, fairways, and all surrounding landscaped areas.

·         He/She is responsible for the hiring and training of all greens keepers/landscapers, ensuring everyone has had proper training on safety and use of all equipment and fertilizing chemicals.

·         The superintendent is responsible for developing and implementing a schedule for all maintenance and repairs on the equipment.

·         Oversees the proper functioning of the irrigations system and schedules repairs as needed.

·         Works in partnership with the Director of Golf to ensure the course is up to standard and in excellent play condition.

·         Reports directly to the General Manger with course conditions and any needs that may arise.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in agronomy, plant science, or horticulture plus

·         Two (2) years of turf management which must have been in a supervisory or leadworker capacity, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
