Duties:

Lead on course personnel by supervising and providing agronomic direction to maintain the golf course at the highest quality possible for all season play.

·        Apply agronomic, landscaping, and horticultural principles to assure that quality standards are consistently achieved and/or exceeded.

·        Lead and manage maintenance operations involved in providing maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, sand traps, bodies of water, roughs, maintenance shop, golf carts and clubhouse.

·        Responsible for the selection, training, assignment and assessment of maintenance staff, providing corrective action as needed; holding safety meetings to ensure the highest level of safety for all maintenance staff.

·        Develop, administer, and execute annual maintenance plan and budget for the course.

·        Track maintenance expenses including payroll, supplies, fertilizer, chemicals, etc.

·        Maintain maintenance records and develop required maintenance reports

·        Order parts, supplies and equipment as needed.

Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000 Based on Experience and Certification

Requirements:

·        Minimum Two (2) year Agronomy related degree required

·        Three (3+) years as a Golf Course Superintendent required

·        Experience growing and maintaining cold weather/high elevation grasses required

·        Possession of, or willingness to acquire, a Arizona Commercial Applicator License required

·        Experience in 7b/8a hardiness zones preferred

·        Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, Employee Partners and Guests

·        Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills
