Contract Coordinator
The City of Scottsdale Arizona has an opening for a Contract Coordinator
This position develops, manages and administers multiple service and commodity contracts for the
Community Services Division as well as other client divisions/departments or citywide as deemed appropriate.
Education and Experience
y High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
y Minimum of five years of verifiable experience with increasing responsibility in overseeing large landscape
budgets, projects, and staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of:
y Municipal funding and bidding practices
y Contract management principles and procedures
y Finance
y Scheduling
Microsoft Office products and other relevant technologies.
Certified Arborist
This individual acts as the City Arborist when needed and helps all divisions in the City for tree ID and tree vigor.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
y Reports to Department of Agriculture and the Office of Pest Management.
y Must possess and maintain certification as a Qualified Applicator in the State of Arizona Structural Pest Control Commission.
y Responsible for training, oversight, and record keeping for licensed individuals working under the Qualifying Applicator’s
license and report to the Qualifying Applicator on all work involving pesticides R4-29-201.B. Also responsible for oversight of weed control throughout the City.
y Must be a licensed certified arborist with a minimum of three (3) years of experience is desired for this position.
y Must be certified as a Turf Grass Professional and/or Arizona Landscape Professional.
