Duties: | Job Summary: Performs work of considerable difficulty assisting in the maintenance, operation, and management activities of an assigned Executive, Regulation, or Multi-Course. Assists in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance activities of the course assigned. Answers questions and complaints from golfers and informs Superintendent of problems and potential problems. |
Salary: | $34,481.00 to $49,308.00 Annualized |

Requirements: | · Three years of progressively responsible experience in golf course maintenance or related field preferred. · Supervisory experience preferred. · Possession of or the ability to obtain a State of Arizona Restricted Use Pesticide Certificate within six months of employment date. · Possess and maintain a valid State of Arizona Driver’s License. · Two years of college level education in Turf Grass Management or related field. · Good knowledge of the methods, standards, safety practices, chemicals, tools, and equipment used in the care and maintenance of golf courses. · Good knowledge of turf species used in golf courses and the fertilizers and chemicals used to promote growth and control pests and diseases. · Good knowledge of the layout of the course and potential problem areas. · Knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and methods of play. · Knowledge of the tools and equipment used in maintenance and grounds keeping activities. · Knowledge of golf course design and maintenance standards. · Ability to schedule and supervise employees. · Ability to analyze the condition of soils, plants, trees, and grasses. · Ability to perform physical labor in a variety of weather and working conditions. · Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers, golfers, and the general public. · Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form. · Ability to continue education as turf grass management techniques are refined and improved. |
