Duties: | Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Flagstaff Ranch must remain upbeat and have the ability to communicate effectively with management, staff and members. An open mind and an ability to think outside the box is helpful in the golf maintenance industry today and is a necessary prerequisite at Flagstaff Ranch. AGCS will be required to assist the superintendent in all aspects of golf course maintenance. Including but not limited to managing and training staff, record keeping of chemical and fertilizer applications, assisting the irrigation tech., and managing projects. |

Requirements: | The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Applicant must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. A minimum of a 2 year degree or certificate in Turf Grass Management, Horticulture, Agriculture or a related field. An understanding of the game of golf. Experience in the management of cool season grass. Ability to obtain an Arizona Department of Agriculture spray license. Valid Driver’s License. Experience with irrigation and drainage installation and repair. This is a position that requires the willingness to get your hands dirty as much as the ability to develop an excel spreadsheet. |
