Duties: | The qualified candidate MUST be highly motivated and have a STRONG work ethic to advance in golf course management - Maintains, repairs, and rebuilds components of a golf course irrigation system. - Monitors system pressure - Records pump readings - Monitors effectiveness of individual sprinklers - Troubleshoots and overhauls irrigation system components - Determines and maintains adequate irrigation parts supply - Inspects golf course daily and notifies superintendent of issues/concerns - Performs a range of activities related to golf course maintenance and construction - Operates mechanical and power equipment to maintain the golf courses, landscaping and irrigation systems - Assist in the management of hourly staff - Performs daily clean-up of work area - Performs other duties as required |
Salary: | $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Depending On Experience |

Requirements: | - Possess and maintain a valid State of Arizona driver’s license - Ability to obtain and hold a State of Arizona Office of Pest Management Applicator License within 90 days - Working knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, and tools used in irrigation repairs - Knowledge of efficient water management - Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics relating to irrigation systems - Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor in a variety of weather and working conditions Physical Demands: - Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; stoops; kneels; crouches or crawls - Occasionally sits, climbs or balances - Regularly talks or hears - Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally may lift up to 100 pounds Environment: - Occasionally works in wet or hot conditions; in extreme cold or heat - Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions Experience: - Preferred 2 or more years prior experience in irrigation |
