Duties:

Peoria's Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities Department is seeking an Irrigation Technician to work with the growth and development of Paloma Community Park, which recently broke ground in North Peoria. This position is designed to install and maintain irrigation systems throughout the Park through inspection, diagnosis, auditing, and repair of the system.

Salary:

$18.67 per hour

Requirements:

Minimum requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalency and 2-4 years of experience
  • A valid Arizona Driver's License upon hire
  • The ability to obtain a backflow assembly certification within 6 months of hire
  • The ability to obtain a Water Audit Certification within 12 months of hire

Additionally, our ideal candidate will be a highly skilled, safety conscious, punctual team player with a high work ethic. Someone that understands that they will be hired to perform a full time job that is schedule and work order driven. You will need to be comfortable and able to execute your essential functions in high traffic public use areas. Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work both individually and with a team, while understanding that while irrigation will be their main focus, there will be times where it is necessary to act cross-functionally when the Division's workload demands.
