Duties:

·        Responsible for golf course operations and maintenance

·        Purchase, record, apply and supervise all fertilizer, chemical and seed applications.

·        Manage and perform golf course construction and repair projects.

·        Manage fall overseeding with proper preparation practices and time sensitive completion.

·        Hire, train, supervise and assist the Maintenance Crew, Irrigators and Mechanics

·        Develop and maintain crew schedules, procedures and policies.

·        Involvement in all aspects of the irrigation systems:  pumps, heads, programming, troubleshooting and repairs.

·        Collaborate and communicate with fellow Managers, Members, customers, homeowners, and sales representatives.

Salary:

Annual Salary Depending Upon Experience (60K+)

Requirements:

·        Two (2) or Four (4) year degree in turf management or horticulture.

·        Able to obtain an Arizona Pesticide Applicators license in 60 days.

·        Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening

·        Working knowledge of irrigation systems and able to troubleshoot.

·        Hands on motivated leader individual who leads by example.

Tonto Verde is an active adult community with 36-holes of semi-private championship golf, and an 18-hole putting course.  Originally designed by Gary Panks, each course underwent extensive renovations to bunkers, drainage and irrigation over past 2 summers, overseen by Mike Gogel Golf Design.  All maintenance and irrigation equipment on property is made up of Toro components.
