Duties:

Peoria’s Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities Department has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional skilled in parks management, project oversight and long term planning with a Parks and Community Facilities Manager position. This position oversees the community parks division, the neighborhood parks division, trails, right-of-ways and open space, stadium grounds and facilities maintenance operations. Management of capital projects, planning for land, open spaces, trails and right-of-ways, championing excellent customer service and offering support on committees will also round out this position.

Salary Range:

$86,742 - $128,158

Hiring Range:                  

$86,742 - $104,000

Requirements:

 

Minimum Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of five years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Previous supervisory experience is required

 

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:

·        Experience in a municipal or government setting

·        Experience in project management and/or capital programming is desired

·        A supportive approach to resolving complex or sensitive customer issues, including creative problem solving competencies for divisional needs and employee requests.

·        Expansive experience that shows the ability to support and continue to evolve a varied group of programs, staff, division, and leadership team and/or City initiatives.
