Duties: | v Bachelor of Science Degree in Turf Science, Landscape, Horticulture, Agronomy or similar field, or equivalent work experience. Certified Applicator’s License applicable to state. Two years of proven experience as a superintendent, or work equivalent. v Ability to compute rates, rations, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes of cones, cylinders, etc. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and financial reports, legal documents. v Ability to calibrate sprayers, spreaders, scientific instruments, computer software, etc. v Ability to operate basic software including word processor, spreadsheet, and email software, irrigation control software. v Solid understanding in preventative maintenance systems. v Basic understanding of mechanical operations of engines and hydraulics for guidance of equipment managers. v Previous Superintendent Experience Required and or Class A Superintendent in good standing and member of the GCSAA. v Member of local professional superintendent’s association. Involved with this association when assigned facility is in good stead is also recommended. |

Position Summary: | As the leader of the Golf Maintenance Team, the Superintendent plans, directs, coaches and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance of the golf course grounds, landscaping and related structures and buildings. This includes meeting or exceeding the established standards for our Members and employee satisfaction along with expedient cost control for his/her department. As the Superintendent, you must lead by example by taking a proactive position to all issues concerning the operation of the golf course. Additional duties may be assigned as required depending upon the facility. |
