Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Duties:

-Oversees the Red Course at the Wigwam Golf Club

-Perform golf course maintenance activities utilizing proper technical methods.

-Assist in the supervision of day-to-day golf maintenance activities.

-Inspect golf course turfgrass, horticulture, and golf maintenance conditions to ensure proper technical methods and standards are being met.

-Inspect, repair, and perform maintenance of irrigation systems.

-Scout, monitor and sample for pest, weed, and activity in turfgrass, lakes, ornamentals. Report and document conditions.

-Apply pesticides and fertilizers utilizing proper technical methods.

-Lead weekend course maintenance activities

-Ensure the completion of all work assignments.

Salary:

$46,000 + Depending On Experience

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent certificate preferred but not required.

-Five years of experience in golf course maintenance and/or in turf grass maintenance, landscape or horticulture.

- Minimum of one year of experience as a chemical applicator.

- Possess an Arizona Pesticide license, or the ability to obtain such.

- Valid Arizona Driver’s License.
