Duties:

The qualified candidate MUST be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and must be able to effectively communicate to staff and members.

·        Responsible for golf course operations and maintenance.

·        Purchase, record, apply and supervise all fertilizer, chemical and seed applications.

·        Manage and perform golf course construction and repair projects.

·        Manage fall overseeding with proper preparation practices with time sensitive completion.

·        Hire, train, supervise and assist the Maintenance crew, Irrigators and Mechanics

·        Plan, develop and maintain crew schedules, procedures and policies.

·        Involvement in ALL aspects of the irrigation systems; Pumps, sprinklers, programming, troubleshooting and repairs.

·        Collaborate and communicate with fellow Managers, Staff, Members, Homeowners, and Vendors

 

Salary:

Annual salary depending upon experience ($70,000 +)

Requirements:

·        High school education required. College degree preferred in Turf Management

·        Prior experience and as assistant or foreman a plus

·        Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.

·        Ability to obtain an AZ Pesticide Applicators license in 60 days.

·        Experience in Golf Course Turf Management preferred in a supervisory or management role.

·        Experience and capability to manage and train staff, plan accordingly with on-course projects, and plan and order necessary supplies.

·        Strong work ethic with the ability to analyze and solve problems; handle multiple duties under pressure with little to no supervision; work flexible hours which include weekends and holidays.

·        Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with staff, members, homeowners and vendors

·        Positive attitude and appearance.

·        Hands on motivated leader who leads by example.
