Position: Equipment Manager
Facility: Anthem Golf & Country Club
Duties: The Golf Course Equipment Manager is entrusted with the maintenance, operations and management of all golf course equipment and the 2 maintenance shops. The Equipment Manager is responsible for the execution and direction of all Golf Course Equipment Maintenance and Shop Management at each individual facility. The Equipment Manager directs, leads and disseminates in harmony with the Director of Agronomy all programs, project priorities, safety training and standard operating procedures.  The Equipment Manager will present the highest quality product and presentation indicative of Anthem G&CC company standards.     DUTIES OR FUNCTIONS Manages shop operation and organization of all golf course equipment and vehicles. Ensures the shops and all equipment are up to the proper safety standards. Keeps the equipment parts storage room always organized and clean. Experience grinding reels and bed knives, adjusting heights of cut, etc. to maintain proper performance of cutting units. Ensures proper and safe equipment operation per company’s safety policies. Maintains a preventive maintenance program within budget on all equipment, and purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Keeps a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, costs of repairs and preventive maintenance for all equipment. Working knowledge of the theory, care, operation, and ability to diagnose. Skill to perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and electric components of mowing equipment. Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course. Performs general machining, fabricating, and welding applications as needed. Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills. Possession of a valid driver's license
Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 Per hour Depending On Experience

Job Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Secondary education in a mechanic related field preferred but not required 3 - 5 years minimum experience at a golf course or turf maintenance facility Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses. Skilled in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools and the making of various types of mechanical repairs. Working knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of the internal combustion engines and mowing equipment. Skilled in welding and light metal fabrication Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work. Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession. Must be able to communicate effectively and keep business records. Knowledge of and/or the ability to play the game of golf and understand how the job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course. Possession of a valid driver’s license.
