Position: | Equipment Manager/ Mechanic |
Facility: | Hillcrest Golf Club |
Duties: | -Inspect, diagnose, and repair all equipment including gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems and both reel and rotary mowing attachments. - Communicate and prioritizes all repairs with Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to best maintain the course. -Practice a preventative maintenance program within budget for all equipment and orders for purchase all repair and maintenance parts. -Operate sharpening equipment to maintain highest quality of cut. -Assists Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in staff training, record keeping, and inventory control. -Maintain a clean and safe shop environment. -Other course maintenance duties as required. |

Requirements: | -Prior golf course experience preferred. -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. -Self- starter requiring minimal supervision. -Communication skills, verbal and written to include computer skills for reports and record keeping. -Understanding of golf maintenance principles and importance of properly prepared equipment in relation to turf health and aesthetics. -Communicates issues with equipment and participates with Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in review of equipment purchases or leases. -Valid driver’s license. -Bilingual preferred. |
