Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Facility:

Orange Tree Golf Club

Duties:

-Assist in daily scheduling, staff training, plant protectant applications and irrigation controls, programming and repairs.

-Daily inspection of the course to ensure it is prepared for play and to prevent or circumvent turf and other issues that may occur.

-Document all work schedules, applications, training and operations of the course.

-Assist in and learn all labor, budget preparation and control, purchasing and inventory control measures in all areas.

-Communicate all maintenance functions to all staff, management and golf staff as needed for smooth operation.

-Other duties as they apply.

Salary:

$50,000 – $55,000 salary, Depending On Experience

Benefits:

Health, Dental, Life Insurance, 401(k), paid PTO, Holidays, Uniforms, meal benefits and golfing privileges. Cactus and Pine and GCSAA dues paid.

Requirements:

-Have a two or four year degree or certificate in Turf Management or related field.

-Minimum of three years golf course maintenance experience.

-Must currently have pesticide license in Arizona or have the ability to prepare, test and acquire licensing within three months of employment to maintain the position.

-Enhanced attention to detail in all areas

-Maintain a strong work ethic with attention to detail, compassion for staff and playing conditions and aesthetics with a desire to learn, improve and become a golf course superintendent

-Bilingual a plus.

-Unless current position approves you must provide a minimum of two week notice.
