Duties:

·         Directs the layout and direction of landscape projects and additions.

·         Manages the mowing, watering and maintenance of tennis courts and ensures employees are utilized with maximum efficiency.

·         Supervises all planting, fertilization, and maintenance of lawns.

·         Orders supplies and materials within budgetary constraints.

·         Is responsible for file records on annual maintenance activities, including but not limited to, chemical and fertilizer applications as required by law.

·         Responsible for personnel and cost estimates for annual budgets and other projects.

·         Ensures maintenance standards are met.

·         Plans, assigns, and directs work of others.

·         Prepares reports and project estimates.

·         Maintains effective employee and public relations.

·         Runs and directs the landscape operations in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

·         Hires, disciplines, promotes, and terminates employees under guidelines established by Desert Mountain Club Inc.

·         Communicates with other departments verbally and written.

·         Oversees and manages payroll matters, approval, and safety training in the Paycom system.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a Certified Pesticide Applicator in the State of Arizona or the knowledge to obtain certification upon hire.  Knowledge of the maintenance of tennis courts, turf, landscape materials as well as experience in planting, cultivating, pruning, and fertilizing of shrubs and trees a must. Qualified candidates must have an ISA Arborist Certification with a minimum of five years combined experience in an assistant or manager level position within the industry. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
