Golf Course Superintendent at an 18-hole golf course

Facility:

"Confidential Club" in the desert southwest. Pertinent details will be shared at the appropriate time

Duties:

All duties related to being a golf course superintendent including:

·       Turf grass management

·       Daily course set-up

·       Managing the irrigation system

·       Pump station, pesticide management

·       Risk management

·       HR and Administrative tasks

·       Budgeting

·       Monitoring/record keeping

·       Staff development and mentoring

·       Professional development and involvement and other related duties. 

·       Must be a good communicator working closely with the GM, other key staff, guests/members and the owners.

Salary:

A base salary to be commensurate with education and experience that will be competitive with like facilities in the area

Requirements:

 

·       Must possess at a minimum an Associates' degree in turf grass management or related field such as agronomy, horticulture, soil science, etc.

·       Must have Three (3) – Five (5) years' experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Five (5) – Seven (7) years as an Assistant Superintendent at a comparable golf facility.

·       Pesticide applicators license

·       Valid drivers' license with a clean record

·       Computer skills

·       Excellent communication skills
