Duties:

- Assist in the responsibility for all phases of golf course maintenance and Agronomic operations, cost control and personnel

- Daily communication with General Manager on golf course condition and playability

- Prepare and maintain an annual golf course maintenance budget

- Coordinate, schedule and administer daily tasks to maintenance staff

- Develops, trains, coaches, disciplines and mentors staff within the department providing feedback, direction and leadership so that they may carry out the daily activities of the department, all while grooming them for upward mobility within the company

- Assist with applicant interviews and Human Resource issues and other administrative duties

- Fertilizer and chemical applications, record keeping

- Must have knowledge of irrigation systems inclusive of programming, maintenance, trouble shooting, scheduling, moisture control and pump station management

- Must have considerable understanding of golf course maintenance equipment

- Assist with purchasing of maintenance supplies within budget

 

Salary:

$50,000 - $80,000 Based on Experience

Requirements:

- Minimum two year Turf/Agronomy degree or related field

- Valid pesticide applicator’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

- Ability to build and implement a fertility program

- Chemical and fertilizer calibration, application, use knowledge and record keeping

- Dedicated, reliable and strong work ethic

- Valid Driver’s license

- Neat, organized and clean
