Duties:

 

All duties related to operating and maintaining the golf course maintenance operation at a high-end private country club including:

·       All turf grass and plant material programs

·       Irrigation systems/programs

·       Annual overseeding process

·       Water management

·       Property/asset management

·       HR management

·       Budget preparation

·       Scheduling

·       Pesticide management

·       Risk management

·       Compliance issues

·       Create a positive/safe work environment for the employees

·       Train/mentor staff

·       All related duties of a golf course superintendent

·       Must have strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

·       Ability to perform administrative duties like: payroll, invoicing, documentation of daily maintenance activities that pertain to this position

Salary:

 

·       A base salary will be commensurate with education and experience and will be competitive with like facilities in the general area of FireRock Country Club

·       There is potential for a merit-based bonus at the discretion of the General Manager and the Board of Directors

Requirements:

 

·       Must have a minimum of Three (3) –Five (5) years of experience as a golf course superintendent or Five (5) – Seven (7) years of experience as an assistant golf course superintendent at comparable golf facilities to FireRock Country Club ~ Fountain Hills, AZ

·       Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Turf grass Management or a related field such as horticulture, agronomy, soil science, etc.

·       Must have or have the ability to obtain a pesticide applicators license that meets the states requirements

·       A valid drivers’ license with a clean record
