Position: Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Facility: Oro Valley Country Club
Duties:
· Train and implement procedures for Golf Course Maintenance Staff
· Assign and evaluate performance of daily tasks.
· Perform Chemical and Fertilizer applications.
· Daily water management of Greens, Tees, and Fairways.
· Daily setup of golf course for member playability.
· Manage daily employee projects.
· Daily evaluation of turf wear, disease, moisture, cut quality, growth rate, etc.
· Identify efficiencies and make recommendations.
· Ensure all company policies, standards of operation, and safety rules are strictly followed.
· Provide appropriate feedback to staff, and recommendations regarding compensation and training.
· Effective communication with Staff, Members and Management.
· Ability to work well under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks, and ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
· Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image.

Requirements:
· 2-3 years’ experience in Golf Course Maintenance.
· Minimum 2-year College in turf grass / agronomy.
· Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one in 90-days.
· Diplomatic team player, with a POSITIVE ATTITUDE, able to foster relationships with Members, Employee Partners, and Guests.
