* 2+ years of turfgrass management experience
* Current (or ability) to attain certification as a chemical applicator

We are looking for leaders with a positive attitude and a focus on the continual improvement of the Devil's Claw crew. The superintendent must have experience with both in-field irrigation as well as central control. While this is a management position, there is physical activity required. The superintendent does about a third of the spraying on their course, and will spend quite a bit of time each week checking and maintaining bunker depths. Superintendents must take the initiative to help out the irrigation techs if there is a need. Whirlwind superintendents do not ride on mowers unless training an associate. The LPGA Tour Ford Championship will likely stick with Cattail for years to come, but we maintain Devil's Claw to the same standards the other 11 months of the year. In fact, Devil's Claw became the first Whirlwind course to hit the Golfweek Top 200 Resort Course list earlier this year. Regardless, the Devil's Claw superintendent will be heavily involved in all aspects of prep for next year's tournament, and critical to our success.
