Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to walk long distances on all types of terrain, stand, bend, and kneel for long periods in a harsh outdoor environment.

If necessary, team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. JDM Golf provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly. This position also ensures that all subordinate staff follows Safety and PPE policies and procedures at all times. This position is designated as a "safety sensitive" position as defined by Arizona House Bill 2541.
Work Environment Work environment is typical of an open golf course. The temperature and weather conditions of the work area are affected by outside conditions. Maintenance shops will have odors from fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment fluids. Areas where landscaping equipment are stored may have grass and other landscaping clippings and dirt on the floor. Machinery may contain dirt, oil, and/or grease. Shops are not heated in the winter or cooled in the summer. Special PPE may be required for the application of pesticides and/or fertilizer. Minimum Qualifications · High School Diploma or equivalent certificate preferred but not required. · Five years of experience in golf course maintenance and/or in turf grass maintenance, landscape or horticulture. · Minimum of five years of experience as a chemical applicator. · Possess an Arizona Structural Pest Control Commission certification and license, or the ability to obtain such. · Valid Arizona Driver's License. Additional Requirements · Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by JDM Golf from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. · Due to cyclical nature of hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the golf course. · Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with JDM Golf rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the golf club facilities. Employees who violate golf club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance suitable for golf courses (specific standards available). |
