| Duties: | Primary responsibilities include: · Supervising staff engaged in the maintenance and landscaping of the City's community parks and Sports Complex. · Conducting technical maintenance work, such as ball field preparation and renovations. · Overseeing irrigation system testing and maintenance. · Acting as the onsite lead turf grass management technical representative for application, recording, and storage of required fertilizers and pesticides. · Completing administrative tasks, attends meetings, manages weekly reports, conducts onsite safety inspections, and monitors supplies and inventory. The Ideal Candidate is: · Experienced with personnel supervision including timekeeping, approving requests for time off, etc. · Comfortable directing personnel in what's needed to meet the needs of an activity, event or program with minimal direction. · Comfortable communicating with patrons, volunteers, vendors, concessionaires, and public safety and team personnel as required. · A safety conscious, punctual team player with a high work ethic, with the flexibility to act cross-functionally when the Department's workload demands. |
| Salary: | Salary Range: $70,158 - $106,795 Hiring Range: $72,158 - $89,477 DOE |

| Requirements: | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS · Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent · Experience: Minimum of three years related experience. Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment and procedures. · Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements: · Licensed for the application to Ornamental and Turf Pest Control through the Office of Pest Management within 6 months of hire. · Playground Safety Certification through the National Playground and Safety Institute within 6 months of hire. · Valid Driver's License upon hire. |
